경포해수욕장 is a safe and big sandy beach in Gangneung-si. It's around 3.85km in length. This beach is also known as Gyeongpo Beach and 鏡浦海水浴場.
경포해수욕장 offers a lot of space for sunbathing.
May, June, July, August are the best months to visit 경포해수욕장 and other beaches in Gangneung-si, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
