Burckmyers Beach is a private pebbly beach in Beaufort. It's hard to find some shade at the beach, and note that the access is somewhat tricky. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. Be aware that swimming, drinking alcohol, smoking, bringing food, practicing activities, and bringing dogs is not allowed.
Burckmyers Beach is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children.. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so it is a swim-at-your-own-risk zone. Be careful with your belongings because it’s not a safe place. Pay attention because there are jellyfishes in the water. The locals might not be that friendly. Due to it's hard access, Burckmyers Beach is remote. The cell phone signal is weak there, so be prepared.
There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent.
Bring your own food and drink since you cannot buy anything at the beach, and make sure to leave nothing behind but footprints.
May, September, October, November are the best months to visit Burckmyers Beach and other beaches in Beaufort, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
