About Calhetas

Calhetas, a real paradise of wild and unspoiled nature, is a small stretch of sand surrounded by forests and by clear water. It's a pretty and safe place for adults to visit in the summer. It has friendly locals, and clear water. The water there is crystal clear. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 0.38km in length with some shades to shelter from the sun. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the sand because it's a popular beach among tourists and it's small. The views are amazing and the weather is usually nice. The spectacular scenery includes driftwood, sea shells, cactus, dunes, rocks, trees, and palm trees - prepare your camera! Be aware that bringing dogs, smoking, and drinking alcohol is not allowed.

Safety and Access

You can go to this beach by walking or hiking, boat, and bus - note that it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if youโ€™re looking for somewhere to hang out or spend time, Calhetas is a great place.

Infrastructure

There are a swing, cleaning, shades, and trails. There are no chairs for rent, umbrella for rent, and outside shower, so bring your own if you need. But there are some shades to protect yourself from the sun. Nearby there areย no food options, so bring plenty of food and water and remember to take all the trash with you.

Things to do on Calhetas

The water here is suitable for surfing, swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking, and standup paddleboarding. Stargazing, watching the sunset, doing yoga, beach tennis, and volleyball can be enjoyed as well.
