Shad Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada
Coolens Beach is a safe and family-friendly and small sandy beach in Shad Bay. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It's around 0.31km in length, which is super small. Be aware that drinking alcohol is not allowed.
You can go to this beach by car, bus, boat, and walking or hiking.Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). Dogs allowed all year round.
June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Coolens Beach and other beaches in Shad Bay, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
