Heistadstranda is a safe, pristine, beautiful, clean and family-friendly and small sandy beach in Brevik. It's a pretty and safe place for both adults and children to visit in the summer. It has clear water, friendly locals, easy access, and good 3G+ coverage. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Brevik beaches is crystal clear and extremely inviting Ideal for snorkeling and for young children. It's around 0.2km in length with some areas you can find back in shade. It is never crowded here. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. The views are good. The beautiful scenery includes trees, rocks, sea shells, and seaweed - prepare your camera! Be aware that drinking alcohol and smoking is not allowed. This beach is also known as Heistad badestrand.

Safety and Access

Getting to Heistadstranda is simple. You can go to this beach by boat and walking or hiking. It's pretty easy to get there, which makes it perfect for families! There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out or spend time, Heistadstranda is a great place. Dogs allowed all year round. There is parking space nearby. Heistadstranda is a very family-friendly beach, with calm waters that are crystal clear and shallow, perfect for swimming. Pay attention if you go swimming because there are jellyfishes in the water.

Infrastructure

There are shades and pier. There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent, so bring your own if you need. But there are some shades to protect yourself from the sun.

Things to do on Heistadstranda

The water here is suitable for swimming and diving. Walking and volleyball can be enjoyed as well.
