About Lanikai Beach

Lanikai Beach is a pristine, beautiful, clean, family-friendly, safe and relaxing sandy beach in Kailua. It's an ideal and safe place for both adults and children to visit in any time of the year. It has clear water. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Kailua beaches is crystal clear and extremely inviting. This beach is so pretty that you'll take so many pictures! It's around 2.4km in length, which is medium. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the sand because it's a popular beach among tourists. The views are amazing and the weather is warm all year round.

Safety and Access

Lanikai Beach is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. You can go to this beach by car, bus, boat, and walking or hiking - note that it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out or spend time, Lanikai Beach is a good place. Lanikai Beach is usually calm and good for swimming.

Infrastructure

There are trails and bicycles for rent. There are no umbrella for rent, chairs for rent, and outside shower.

Things to do on Lanikai Beach

Lanikai Beach offers a lot of space for relaxation, sunbathing, and family games. The water here is suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and standup paddleboarding. Beach wedding can be enjoyed as well.
