Moon Bay is a safe, beautiful, clean, pristine, secluded and relaxing and small sandy beach in Bega Valley Shire Council. Everything around you is peaceful, natural, relaxing. It's a clothing optional beach and when it's not crowded it is a nice place. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It's a pretty and safe place for adults to visit in the summer. It has clear water, friendly locals, and easy access. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Bega Valley Shire Council beaches is clear and extremely inviting. It's around 0.61km in length, and there are no shades. It is never crowded here. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. The beautiful scenery includes driftwood, seaweed, and rocks - prepare your camera! Be aware that bringing dogs is not allowed.
You can go to this beach by car and walking or hiking. It's easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if youโre looking for somewhere quiet to hang out or spend time, Moon Bay is a great place. Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). There is parking space nearby. Moon Bay is usually calm, laid-back and good for swimming. This beach is undeveloped and remote. The cell phone signal is weak there, so be prepared.
There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent, so bring your own if you need. Nearby there areย no food options, so bring plenty of food and water and remember to take all the trash with you.
The water here is suitable for surfing, swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking, and standup paddleboarding. Walking can be enjoyed as well.
January, February, April, December are the best months to visit Moon Bay and other beaches in Bega Valley Shire Council, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
