Playa Calzón de Pobre is a pristine, beautiful, clean, family-friendly and relaxing and small sandy beach in Playa Hermosa. Everything around you is peaceful, natural, relaxing. It has clear water, and friendly locals. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Playa Hermosa beaches is clear and extremely inviting Ideal for snorkeling and for young children. This beach is so pretty that you'll take so many pictures! It's around 0.37km in length, which is super small. It is never crowded here. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. The views are amazing and the weather is usually nice. Be aware that drinking alcohol and smoking is not allowed.
You can go to this beach by car and walking or hiking - note that it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out or spend time, Playa Calzón de Pobre is a great place. Dogs allowed all year round. There is parking space nearby. Pay attention if you go swimming because there are jellyfishes in the water. Playa Calzón de Pobre is undeveloped and remote. The cell phone signal is weak there, so be prepared.
There are shades, cleaning, water activities, and trails. There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent. Nearby there are no food options, so bring plenty of food and water and remember to take all the trash with you.
The water here is suitable for swimming, diving, snorkeling, and fishing. Walking, running, volleyball, beach wedding, watching the sunset, and stargazing can be enjoyed as well.
February, March, April, December are the best months to visit Playa Calzón de Pobre and other beaches in Playa Hermosa, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
