Praia do Varadouro is a safe and small sandy beach in Horta. It's around 0.21km in length, which is super small.
There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so it is a swim-at-your-own-risk zone.
June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Praia do Varadouro and other beaches in Horta, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
