Whatshan Lake Public Beach is one of the most famous beach of Area K (The Arrow Lakes). It's around 0.89km in length, which is small. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the beach because it's a very popular beach among locals. This beach is also known as Whatshan Lake.
You can go to this beach by boat - note that it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so it is a swim-at-your-own-risk zone. There are lots of people at the beach so If you have kids, keep an eye on them at all times. Be careful with your belongings because itโs not a safe place.
There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent.
June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Whatshan Lake Public Beach and other beaches in Area K (The Arrow Lakes), because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
