Cala del Castell is a beautiful and safe and small sandy beach in Mataró. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Cala del Castell and other beaches in Mataró, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
