About Cala Salada

Cala Salada is one of the most famous beach of Sant Antoni de Portmany. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. And the local attitude is good, so you're not going to be bothered by anyone else on the beach. It's a pretty and safe place for both adults and children to visit in any time of the year. It has clear water, and friendly locals. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Sant Antoni de Portmany beaches is crystal clear and extremely inviting. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 0.2km in length with some areas you can find back in shade. In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the beach because it's a very popular beach among tourists and it's small. The views are amazing and the weather is warm all year round. The spectacular scenery includes cliffs, rocks, and trees - prepare your camera!

Safety and Access

Cala Salada is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. You can go to this beach by boat, walking or hiking, and car - note that it's not that easy to get there.. There are lots of people at the beach so If you have kids, keep an eye on them at all times. Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). Dogs allowed all year round. Cala Salada is usually calm, laid-back and good for swimming.

Infrastructure

There are shades, chairs for rent, trails, and food options. There are some shades to protect yourself from the sun.
