Chimney Beach is a beautiful, family-friendly and safe and small sandy beach in Carson City. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. Chimney Beach is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. You can go to this beach by walking or hiking - note that it's not that easy to get there.Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). There is parking space nearby.
June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Chimney Beach and other beaches in Carson City, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
