Dyrhólafjara is a safe and big sandy beach in Mýrdalshreppur. It's around 10.55km in length, which is huge. This beach is also known as 島嶼之門 and Dyrhólaey.
Dyrhólafjara offers a lot of space for sunbathing.
June, July, August, October are the best months to visit Dyrhólafjara and other beaches in Mýrdalshreppur, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
