Malibu, California, United States
El Matador State Beach is one of the most famous beach of Malibu. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It's a pretty and safe place for adults to visit in any time of the year. This beach is so pretty that we guarantee that your photos will look amazing no matter where you take your shots! It's around 0.75km in length, which is small. In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the sand because it's a very popular spot. The views are amazing and the weather is warm all year round.
El Matador State Beach is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children.. There are lots of people at the beach so If you have kids, keep an eye on them at all times. Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones).
There are shades and chairs for rent.
The beach is suitable for watching the sunset.
July, August, September, October are the best months to visit El Matador State Beach and other beaches in Malibu, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
