About Higgins Beach

Higgins Beach is a pristine, beautiful, clean, safe and family-friendly beach in Scarborough. It's a pretty and safe place for both adults and children to visit in the summer. It has clear water, friendly locals, and good 3G+ coverage. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Scarborough beaches is crystal clear and extremely inviting Ideal for snorkeling and for young children. It's hard to find some shade at the beach. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. The views are good. The beautiful scenery includes trees, rocks, and seaweed - prepare your camera! Be aware that drinking alcohol, smoking, and bringing food is not allowed.

Safety and Access

You can only go to this beach by walking or hiking - it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if youโ€™re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out or spend time, Higgins Beach is a great place. Dogs allowed all year round. There is parking space nearby. Higgins Beach is a very family-friendly beach, with calm waters that are crystal clear, perfect for swimming.

Infrastructure

There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent.

Things to do on Higgins Beach

Bring your own food and drink since you cannot buy anything at the beach (although there are some options nearby), and make sure to leave nothing behind but footprints. The water here is suitable for surfing, swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, windsurfing, and kayaking. Walking, running, doing yoga, beach wedding, watching the sunset, and stargazing can be enjoyed as well.
