Kovalam is one of the most famous beach of Trivandrum, Kerala. It's an ideal and safe place for both adults and children to visit in any time of the year. It has clear water, friendly locals, easy access, and good 3G+ coverage. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Trivandrum, Kerala beaches is clear and extremely inviting. This beach is so pretty that you will remember it for the rest of your life! In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the sand because it's a very popular beach among tourists. The views are amazing and the weather is warm all year round. The spectacular scenery includes palm trees, rocks, sea shells, temple, and lighthouse - prepare your camera! Be aware that drinking alcohol, smoking, bringing food, and bringing dogs is not allowed.

Safety and Access

You can go to this beach by car, bus, boat, and walking or hiking. It's easy to get there, which makes it perfect for families! There are lifeguards on duty, but there are lots of people at the beach so don’t expect them to be looking over your kids only. Keep an eye on them at all times. There is parking space nearby.

Kovalam has everything you need to spend the day. There are shades, food options, shops, cleaning, bicycles for rent, scooter for rent, lifeguards, outside shower, umbrella for rent, chairs for rent, surfboards for rent, and surf school. There are some shades to protect yourself from the sun.

The water here is suitable for surfing, swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking, and standup paddleboarding. Running, volleyball, doing yoga, beach wedding, watching the sunset, and stargazing can be enjoyed as well.
