Le Morne, Black River, Mauritius
Le Morne is one of the most famous beach of Le Morne. It's a pretty and safe place for both adults and children to visit in any time of the year. It has clear water, friendly locals, easy access, and good 3G+ coverage. The water there is clear. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 7.74km in length with some areas you can find back in shade. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the sand because it's a very popular beach among tourists. The views are amazing and the weather is warm all year round. The spectacular scenery includes palm trees, mountain, cave, seaweed, sea shells, and trees - prepare your camera! Be aware that drinking alcohol is not allowed.
Getting to Le Morne is simple. You can only go to this beach by walking or hiking. It's pretty easy to get there, which makes it perfect for families! There are lifeguards on duty, but there are lots of people at the beach so donโt expect them to be looking over your kids only. Keep an eye on them at all times. Dogs allowed all year round. There is parking space nearby. Its easy access have made this a very popular place. Pay attention if you go swimming because there are stingrays in the water.
There are trails, shades, cleaning, bicycles for rent, lifeguards, nightlife, water activities, and surf school. There are no umbrella for rent, chairs for rent, and outside shower, so bring your own if you need. But there are some shades to protect yourself from the sun.
Le Morne is good for families thanks to the enormous amount of space. It offers a lot of space for sunbathing and family games. The water here is suitable for swimming, diving, snorkeling, kitesurfing, kayaking, and standup paddleboarding. Beach tennis, running, volleyball, doing yoga, beach wedding, and watching the sunset can be enjoyed as well.
May, June, October, November are the best months to visit Le Morne and other beaches in Le Morne, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
