Plage de Carataggio (Tahiti Beach) is a pristine, beautiful and clean and small sandy beach in Porto-Vecchio. It's a clothing optional beach and when it's not crowded it is a pretty paradisical place. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It has clear water, and friendly locals. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Porto-Vecchio beaches is crystal clear and extremely inviting. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 0.43km in length with some shades to shelter from the sun. It is never crowded here. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. The spectacular scenery includes trees, rocks, cliffs, and sea shells - prepare your camera! Be aware that bringing food and practicing activities is not allowed.
You can go to this beach by boat and walking or hiking - note that it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out or spend time, Plage de Carataggio (Tahiti Beach) is a great place. Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones).
There are shades and trails. There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent. But there are some shades to protect yourself from the sun.
Bring your own food and drink since you cannot buy anything at the beach, and make sure to leave nothing behind but footprints.
June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Plage de Carataggio (Tahiti Beach) and other beaches in Porto-Vecchio, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
