Plage du Liouquet is a pristine and clean and small beach in La Ciotat. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It has clear water. The water there is crystal clear. It's around 0.4km in length, and there are no shades. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the beach because it's a popular beach among locals. This beach is also known as Liouquet Beach and Platja dau Luoquet.
Plage du Liouquet is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. To get here is an adventure. You can go to this beach by boat and walking or hiking - note that it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so it is a swim-at-your-own-risk zone. Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones).
There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent.
June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Plage du Liouquet and other beaches in La Ciotat, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
