Playa Cola de Caballo is a beautiful and safe and small sandy beach in La Unión. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It's an ideal and safe place for adults to visit in any time of the year. It has clear water. The water there is crystal clear. It's around 0.59km in length. The views are good and the weather is warm all year round.
Playa Cola de Caballo is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children.Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). There is parking space nearby.
June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Playa Cola de Caballo and other beaches in La Unión, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
