Playa de la Costanera is a beautiful, family-friendly, safe and pristine beach in Asuncion. It's a clothing optional beach and when it's not crowded it is a nice place. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It's around 1.23km in length, which is medium. The views are good and the weather is usually nice. Be aware that bringing dogs is not allowed.
Playa de la Costanera is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children.Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). Due to it's hard access, Playa de la Costanera is undeveloped and remote. The cell phone signal is weak there, so be prepared.
Playa de la Costanera offers a lot of space for sunbathing and family games.
May, June, August, September are the best months to visit Playa de la Costanera and other beaches in Asuncion, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
