Playa de las Alberquillas is one of the most famous beach of Nerja. It's a pretty and safe place for adults to visit in the summer. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 1.15km in length, which is medium. In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the beach because it's a very popular spot. The views are amazing and the weather is usually nice.
Playa de las Alberquillas is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children.. There are lots of people at the beach so If you have kids, keep an eye on them at all times. There is parking space nearby, although it might be a bit harder to find a space on the weekends or during peak months.
Playa de las Alberquillas offers a lot of space for sunbathing.
June, July, August, September are the best months to visit Playa de las Alberquillas and other beaches in Nerja, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
