About Playa Maruja

Playa Maruja, a real paradise of wild and unspoiled nature, is a small stretch of sand located in Motril. It's a pretty and safe place for both adults and children to visit in the summer. It has clear water, friendly locals, easy access, and good 3G+ coverage. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Motril beaches is crystal clear and extremely inviting Ideal for snorkeling and for young children. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 0.77km in length. It is never crowded here. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. The views are amazing and the weather is usually nice. Be aware that drinking alcohol is not allowed.

Safety and Access

You can go to this beach by car, bus, boat, and walking or hiking. It's easy to get there, which makes it perfect for families! There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if youโ€™re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out or spend time, Playa Maruja is a great place. Dogs allowed all year round. There is parking space nearby. Playa Maruja is a very family-friendly beach, with calm waters that are crystal clear, perfect for swimming.

Infrastructure

There are cleaning, nightlife, and trails. There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent, so bring your own if you need.

Things to do on Playa Maruja

The water here is suitable for surfing, swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking, and standup paddleboarding. Doing yoga, watching the sunset, stargazing, walking, running, volleyball, beach tennis, and beach wedding can be enjoyed as well.
