La Romana, Dominican Republic
Playa Minitas is a clean, beautiful, family-friendly and private and small sandy beach in La Romana. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. This beach is so pretty that you'll spend hours here! It's around 0.91km in length. It is never crowded here. The views are amazing and the weather is warm all year round. The spectacular scenery includes palm trees, trees, rocks, cliffs, dunes, mountain, cactus, sea shells, temple, castle, cave, lighthouse, driftwood, and seaweed - prepare your camera!
Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). There is parking space nearby. Be careful with your belongings because it’s not a safe place. Pay attention because there are sharks, jellyfishes, and stingrays in the water.
Playa Minitas has everything you need to spend the day and the night. There are cleaning, surf school, skatepark, water activities, a swing, nightlife, trails, and free wi-fi.
January, February, March, December are the best months to visit Playa Minitas and other beaches in La Romana, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
