Praia da Galheta, a real paradise of wild and unspoiled nature, is a 2.39km stretch of sand surrounded by cliffs and by clear water. Everything around you is peaceful, natural, relaxing. It's a clothing optional beach and when it's not crowded it is a pretty paradisical place. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. And the local attitude is good, so you're not going to be bothered by anyone else on the beach. It's an ideal and safe place for adults to visit in any time of the year. It has clear water, and friendly locals. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Florianópolis beaches is crystal clear and extremely inviting Ideal for snorkeling. This beach is so pretty that you'll spend hours here! It's hard to find some shade at the beach because there are no trees on the shore, so you'll have to either rent an umbrella there or bring your own and note that the access is somewhat tricky. The views are amazing and the weather is warm all year round. The spectacular scenery includes rocks, cliffs, dunes, sea shells, and seaweed - prepare your camera!

Safety and Access

Praia da Galheta is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. You can go to this beach by walking or hiking and boat - note that it's not that easy to get there.Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). Praia da Galheta is usually calm, laid-back and great for swimming. Due to it's hard access, this beach is undeveloped and remote. The cell phone signal is weak there, so be prepared.
