About Praia da Vigia

Praia da Vigia is a pristine, beautiful and clean sandy beach in São João das Lampas e Terrugem. It's a clothing optional beach and when it's not crowded it is a pretty paradisical place. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. And the local attitude is good, so you're not going to be bothered by anyone else on the beach. It has friendly locals. This beach is so pretty that is totally worth it! It's around 2.91km in length, which is medium, and there are no shades. It is never crowded here. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. The views are amazing and the weather is usually nice. Be aware that bringing dogs is not allowed. This beach is also known as Vigia Beach.

Safety and Access

Praia da Vigia is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. To get here is an adventure. You can go to this beach by car, boat, and walking or hiking - note that it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out, Praia da Vigia is a great place. Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). There is parking space nearby.

Infrastructure

There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent.
