Praia das Areias Negras is a beautiful and family-friendly and small sandy beach in Rio das Ostras. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 0.19km in length, which is super small. The views are amazing and the weather is warm all year round.
Praia das Areias Negras is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. You can go to this beach by car - note that it's not that easy to get there. There is parking space nearby. Be careful with your belongings because it’s not a safe place.
May, June, July, August are the best months to visit Praia das Areias Negras and other beaches in Rio das Ostras, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
