About Punta Prosciutto

Punta Prosciutto is a pristine, beautiful, safe and family-friendly sandy beach in Lecce. It's a pretty and safe place for both adults and children to visit in the summer. It has clear water, and friendly locals. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Lecce beaches is clear and extremely inviting. This beach is so pretty that is totally worth it! In peak summer months it can be difficult to stake out a peaceful place on the sand because it's a popular beach among tourists. The views are amazing and the weather is usually nice. Be aware that practicing activities is not allowed.

Safety and Access

You can go to this beach by car, boat, and walking or hiking - note that it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if youโ€™re looking for somewhere to hang out or spend time, Punta Prosciutto is a great place. Dogs allowed all year round. There is parking space nearby, although it might be a bit harder to find a space on the weekends or during peak months. Punta Prosciutto is a very family-friendly beach, with calm waters that are crystal clear and shallow, perfect for swimming. Pay attention if you go swimming because there are sharks in the water. This beach is undeveloped and remote. The cell phone signal is weak there, so be prepared.

Infrastructure

There are shades, umbrella for rent, and trails. There are no chairs for rent and outside shower. There are some shades to protect yourself from the sun. Nearby there areย no food options, so bring plenty of food and water and remember to take all the trash with you.
