Wahirua Bay Beach is a beautiful, family-friendly and safe and small sandy beach in Waitakere Ranges. It's a clothing optional beach. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It's a pretty and safe place for both adults and children to visit in the summer. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 0.54km in length. Wahirua Bay Beach is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. You can go to this beach by walking or hiking - note that it's not that easy to get there.Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones).
January, February, March, December are the best months to visit Wahirua Bay Beach and other beaches in Waitakere Ranges, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
