Whites Beach, a real paradise of wild and unspoiled nature, is a small stretch of sand located in Waitakere Ranges. It's a clothing optional beach and when it's not crowded it is a pretty paradisical place. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It has clear water. The water there is crystal clear, but it's not the best beach to swim safely as there are no lifeguards on duty. This beach is so pretty that it almost seems surreal! It's around 0.91km in length, and there are no shades. It is never crowded here. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. Whites Beach is one of the more challenging beaches to access. It is not wheelchair accessible and difficult for disabled visitors and small children. To get here is an adventure. You can only go to this beach by walking or hiking - it's not that easy to get there. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out, Whites Beach is a good place. There are no outside shower, umbrella for rent, and chairs for rent.
The beach is suitable for walking, running, watching the sunset, and stargazing.
January, February, March, December are the best months to visit Whites Beach and other beaches in Waitakere Ranges, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
