About Susan Gilmore Beach

Susan Gilmore Beach is a safe, pristine, beautiful, clean and family-friendly and small sandy beach in Newcastle. It's a clothing optional beach and when it's not crowded it is a nice place. There's nothing like sunbathing and swimming au naturel. It has clear water, friendly locals, easy access, and good 3G+ coverage. You will find that the water here, as with many of the other Newcastle beaches is clear and extremely inviting. It's around 0.53km in length, and there are no shades. It is never crowded here. There are no amenities so bring what you need and please don't leave anything behind. The views are good and the weather is usually nice.

Safety and Access

You can go to this beach by bus and walking or hiking. It's easy to get there, which makes it perfect for families! There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so keep that in mind, but if youโ€™re looking for somewhere quiet to hang out or spend time, Susan Gilmore Beach is a great place. Be aware that this is a clothing optional beach (so there might be nudist zones). Dogs allowed all year round.
